Last week the concert season and “Klasik” brought another concert to the stage for the artlovers of classical music in the capital; a concert of the works of Mozart and Rheinberger, performed by the Ensemble of the Polyphonia Chamber, organised at the Academy of Arts in Tirana, an initiative of the German Radio “Deutsche Welle” and the Foreign Affairs Ministry in Tirana in the context of the “Klasik” concert season. The concert program included works by Jozef Gabriel Rheinberger (sonnet op.139), conceived in the romantic tradition of sonnets, the transcription of the quintet for piano KV 452 by Mozart. In this case, the audience had the possibility to listen to a very old classical work on a new instrument, with romantic nuances. The ensemble arrived in Tirana after a tour of Skopje and Prishtina, on the invitation of “Deutsche Welle” and the Foreign Ministry of Germany. It was created about ten years ago from the wind instrumentalists of the German Symphonic Orchestra of Berlin. They played, not only in the classic formation of a wind instruments quintet, but also within an enlarged chamber music formation.(Tirana Times Staff)
