TIRANA, June 16 – NATO’s top official in Kosova, French Lt. Gen. Xavier de Marnhac, visited Albania Monday to meet with officials.
During the visit, the KFOR commander met with Interior Minister Bujar Nishani and Defense Minister Gazmend Oketa.
De Marnhac and Albanian officials discussed joint border management and also coordination of the fight against organized crime and trafficking.
The two countries seek to have joint border patrols and greater exchange of information.

Oketa expressed his satisfaction that NATO member countries had renewed, in their last meeting in Brussels, their continuing presence in Kosova.
Oketa also hailed Kosova’s new constitution.
