Albania with no difference in the global competitiveness survey ranking

TIRANA, Oct 8 – The World Bank report on doing business was a big boost to the Albanian economic image to the world after it ranked second among the ten best reformers.
But the rankings of the Global Competitiveness Index 2008-2009, based on a poll conducted by the World Economic Forum that asked 12,000 business figures to assess 134 national economies (2007-2008 rankings in parentheses), showed those reforms had improved it only one point from 109 to 108.
