Albania to have a 4th mobile operator

TIRANA, Nov 10 – Albania may soon have a fourth mobile operator, according to the Telecommunication ministry.
The ministry reported it has finalized all required procedures to launch an international tender for a fourth cell phone operator in the country.
Authorities seek to add the competition in order to encourage a reduction of cell phone costs for consumers.
There are three mobile operators in Albania-AMC, Vodafone and Eagle Mobile- a country with a 3.2 million population.
