TIRANA, Dec 20 – RE/MAX International made known it had sold Master Franchises for both the Albania and Macedonia.
Saimir Mane, an Albanian citizen and prominent local businessman, is the new owner of the franchising rights for both countries.
Through the first three quarters of 2008, RE/MAX has sold over 500 franchises worldwide, and now has nearly 7,000 offices in 69 countries, an international presence greater than any of its competitors.
“We’re delighted to welcome Albania and Macedonia into the RE/MAX family,” said William Soteroff, Senior Vice President of International Development at RE/MAX International. “This is a historic time for both these countries, and we’re confident that Saimir Mane will make RE/MAX a valued contributor to their emerging business communities.”
The new regions will have their headquarters in the Albanian capital, Tirana, and new owner, Saimir Mane, is anticipating rapid growth and has ambitious plans to open several offices in the near future. Mane has appointed Shpetim Spahija as Regional Director, who will oversee the day-to-day operations of the two regions.
The developing economies in both countries, and the shortage of experienced real estate agents with professional training, provide a unique opportunity to launch RE/MAX franchises. The RE/MAX system provides a proven real estate model with quality education resources.
In Entrepreneur Magazine’s “2008 Franchise 500 Survey,” RE/MAX was ranked in the Top 10 of all global franchises, and was also ranked the highest of all real estate franchises, an honor it has held for the last 8 out of 10 years.
RE/MAX Europe has over 10,000 Sales Associates in more than 1,600 offices including sales offices in the nearby countries of Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey.
RE/MAX was founded by Dave and Gail Liniger in 1973. From a single office in Denver, Colorado, RE/MAX has grown to be a global network of over 100,000 Sales Associates in more than 65 countries.
