Albanian banks’ deposit portfolio rises in November

TIRANA, Jan 6 – The deposit portfolio of commercial banks operating in Albania totaled 349 billion leks ($3.85 billion/2.82 billion euro) at the end of November, down by 1.4 percent from a month earlier but 5.78 percent higher on the year, the central bank said on Tuesday.
The loan portfolio of commercial banks in Albania totaled 386.533 billion leks ($4.26 billion/3.12 billion euro) at the end of November, up by 2.2 percent from a month earlier and 43.12 percent higher on the year, the bank said.
Albania’s broad M3 money supply totaled 799 billion leks ($8.84 billion/6.47 billion euro) at the end of November, down by 0.9 percent from a month earlier but 11.5 percent higher on the year, according to the bank.
