KESH to sell electricity to Greece

TIRANA, Jan 20 – The Albanian Electro-Energy Corporation, or KESH, is to begin selling electricity to Greece.
Officials said KESH would sell 2 million KWhs a day for the next 45 days.
The power price is based on market prices in the Athens stock exchange.
KESH reports having substantial reserves due to the rain and snow that have covered the lakes of the hydropower plants in the north.
Currently, its plants are producing up to 16 million kWhs per day.
At the same time, the country is importing some 5 million kWHs per day. Importing is to continue until the end of March.
