TIRANA, Feb 9 – Thirty business associations, led by the Association of Italian Entrepreneurs operating in Albania (Aiioa), have drawn up the constitution of Business Albania, a confederation of enterprises.
The constitution for what is intended to become a kind of Albanian ‘Confindustria’ was signed by representatives from several countries.
The aim is to provide a voice and safeguard the interests of employers and represent them in dealings with the government and the trade unions.
Business Albania, whose general assembly will meet in March to give the definitive go-ahead to the statute, and elect officers, will become part of the International Confederation of work, and part of Business Europe (Union of organizations of European employers).
