“The real value of money” – unusual theme for a singular competition

The 3rd grade high school students in the district of Shkod철have completed last week a competition on a very unusual subject: “The real value of money”. The finals were held at the theatre “Migjeni” in the city of Shkod첬 with the participation of 17 high schools from all over the district. The competition is part of a wider memorandum signed between the Bank of Albania (BoA) and the Ministry of Education and Science (13.12.2007) with the goal of promoting knowledge of the role of the central bank in Albania’s economy as well as to spur enhancement of larger economic knowledge.
The governor of the BoA declared that the competition that was formerly opposing regional teams will be organized on a national level. The winners of the Shkodra competition will coptete in the national-scale finals that will be held in Tirana on 5 June 2009.
