Last Friday, on an illuminated spring day, children, full of merriment received prizes and exposed their drawings on the veranda of the National Gallery of Arts (GKA) and made refreshing impressions on those passing by. A total of 250 drawings from young participants coming from 22 Albanian cities were exhibited under the sun. Formerly, children throughout the country had been asked to draw their “Welcome to Albania” in a postcard-making initiative organized by the National Center of Culture for Children, supported by the GKA, the Ministry of Tourism, Culture, Youth and Sports, the National Agency for Tourism and the Ministry of Education and Sciences. Ten “Best Postcard” prizes were distributed alongside with participation certificates. Through the outdoor exhibition, the participants that were asked to draw their “Welcome to Albania” and to promote interest in visiting in the country, displayed na or refined colorful images of landscapes and urban sceneries, historic events and national dress and customs.
