Vlora TEC close to completion

TIRANA, May 08؃ompletion of Vlora TEC is expected within a few weeks. The news was made available by Gjergj Bojaxhi, head of KESH, who inspected work on the project.
“So far, 93 percent of the work has been completed and we expect the TEC to be functional within a few weeks,” said Bojaxhi.
According to KESH, commissioning of the main systems, including the most important element of the project, its turbine, will start within days. Different tests regarding the functionality of the TEC have already been successfully completed.
The Vlora TEC will have a power capacity of 97.167 MGW with a combined cycle of gas and steam. The gas turbine will use D1 quality diesel and natural gas. The technology used on this public work is of the latest generation. 400 foreign and domestic specialist, and 150 Albanian labors will work in the new TEC once it becomes functional.
