Chinese, Turkish, Albanian consortium wants to invest in Albania’s mineral industry

TIRANA, September 5؁ consortium of foreign and domestic companies is interested in investing in Albania’s mineral industry, its representative said.
Albanian government has welcomed the proposal to extract, process and treat iron, nickel and chrome in Burrel and Kukes at a meeting with the group in Tirana.
The companies are China’s SiChuan JianNanChun International Economic & Trade Co. Ltd. and Jiangsu Xuzhou Xinyuan Metallurgy Enterprises Ltd; Turkey’s Kurum; and Albania’s MIN-EX sh.p.k.
“The use of Chinese technology and Turkish and Albanian experience in this field are a pre-guarantee for the success of the project,” a Chinese company representative stated for the media.
