Albania to tender concessions for 7 hydropower plants

TIRANA, September 9؁lbania will tender concessions for three hydropower plants, the economy, trade and energy ministry (www.mete.gov.al) said in a statement.
Bids will be invited for the Myhejan 1, 2, and 3 projects, the statement said.
Advantage points in the tender have been awarded to Dardania shpk, which has prepared technical and financial studies for the works.
The deadline for submitting bids is September 14, 2009.
Only 2 days earlier Albanian announced another tender for concessions for four hydropower plants, issued in a statement by the country’s Counil of Ministers. Bids have been invited for the development of Helmes 1, Helmes 2, Funares 2, and Topcias projects, the statement said.
Advantage points in future evaluation have been awarded to companies that have prepared technical and financial studies for the projects.
