TIRANA, Dec 2uropean satellite operator Eutelsat Communications has been awarded a contract by Albanian Satellite Communications (ASC) to support development of a new direct-to-home TV platform run by ASC subsidiary Tring Communications, news portal Balkans.com reports. Tring Communications, which has operated in Albania since 2007, offers internet, telephony and digital television.
“No matter where you are in Albania … you will benefit from internet, television, telephone and other services at maximum speed … Eutelsat will support Tring technically to achieve this ambitious project,” Tring director Arjan Kraja said on domestic Vizion+ TV.
Currently, the Albanian market is dominated by the Digitalb pay-TV platform, part of the Top Media Group.
