Eagle Mobile initiative raises 120,000 euros to help orphans

Led by Eagle Mobile, Business in Support of the Orphan Children Project involved 25 businesses, associations and others. It marked the fist undertaking of its kind in Albania.

TIRANA, Feb. 9 – A project involving 25 companies and association that helped raise 120,000 euros for Albanian orphans has been successfully completed, the group’s organizer, Eagle Mobile, said this week.
The Business in Support of the Orphan Children Project involved 25 companies, business associations, universities, schools, hospitals, media representatives and others. It marked the fist undertaking its kind in Albania.
Those involved in the project contributed directly for the orphans, undertaking projects, offering sponsorships and other assistance.
“For the first time, the private sector has gathered to help orphan children. Last year, the interest and care toward these children increased considerably. They enjoyed things more, progressed more and got satisfaction out of the understanding that they are not alone,” said Eagle Mobile General Director Ali Taskin at an event organized in Tirana to thank supporting companies and other participants.
The role of media has been really important in this undertaking, according to Mr. Taskin, and he invited the press to further support these valuable messages and projects which change people’s life.
Orhan Coskun, the President of ȡlik Holding for South-Eastern Europe said that one of the main principles of ȡlik Holding is the support toward the parts of society that are in need. ȡlik Holding, through its companies operating in Albania, at the time of floods in Shkodra and Lezha areas, donated 150,000 euros.
Supporters of the Business in Support of the Orphan Children Project were: Agna Group, Aksoy Group, Alpet, Tirana Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eagle Mobile, Epoka University, FIAA, Hotel Sheraton, Huawei Technologies, Turk Colleges, Interalbanian, Konfindustria, Vrioni Cliniques, Shop Network LTB, Tirana American Hospital, Tropikal Resort – Durres, Turkish Airlines, ZKT, ZMQ, Panorama and M롓hum롄ashuri (More Love).
The Albanian Children’s Foundation, the National Institute for the Integration of Orphan Children, the Ministry of Work and Social Issues and the Ministry of Interior (for children of the policemen killed on the life of duty) cooperated in the project by finding the children in need, in order for the business assistance to be more efficient.
