South East-Europe energy dialogue in Thessaloniki, Greece

TIRANA, April 20 – The event organized by the Institute of Energy for South-East Europe in June, with support of the RCC Secretariat, will gather high-ranking governmental officials, senior business executives and energy experts from South East Europe and major energy producing countries outside the region with the objective of exchanging information and ideas, networking and discussing the shaping of the political action required in order to face the increased global and regional energy and environmental challenges. The event will follow the presentation of activities in promoting integrated infrastructure development planning and strengthened cooperation between major regional infrastructural cooperation frameworks. British Lord Watson hails Albania’s achievementsTIRANA, April 19 – British Lord Alan Watson of Richmond held a visit to Albania to express the interest of the British business in Albania in view of the favorable business environment and the economic policies the government has implemented here.During the visit he met with Prime Minister Sali Berisha to talk on the bilateral issues and more.Lord Watson congratulated the prime minister for the results the government of Albania has achieved and also its major project of teaching the English language from the primary school while it becomes indispensable means for the advanced students. He expressed backing for the project through offering training schemes and getting Albanian teachers and pupils on an exchange with English-speaking ones.He expressed the interest of the British investors in retail business, tourism and industrial production. Berisha assured of his government’s support for the British investors and briefed him on the sectors of priority and investment potentials of the country.
