TIRANA, June 1 – Albania has introduced a temporary visa-free regime for Russian nationals from June 1 to October 31. The Albanian ambassador to Moscow, Sokol Gjoka, was quoted by ITAR-TASS saying, “We remove the visa regime for the summer to enable Russian nationals to freely travel in Albania. Not only tourists, but also all other categories of citizens, including businessmen and participants in international and cultural events, can take advantage of the visa-free regime,” said Gjoka.
Albania is the third country to lift visas for Russian citizens. Gjoka does not rule out that in 2012 Russians will be able to visit Albania without visas again.
