NFA destroys 25 tons of products deemed unsafe

TIRANA, Aug 9؁lbania’s National Food Authority has conducted more than 4000 inspections in all of Albania’s 12 districts over the summer period, during which it confiscated and destroyed about 25 tons of products that did not meet food safety standards, local media reported on Tuesday. Following these inspections, the activity of 20 subjects has been suspended, while another 18 subjects have been fined.
Production establishments, warehouses, supermarkets as well as bars and restaurants were inspected by the National Food Authority.
