TIRANA, Oct. 24 – The Giffoni Experience goes back to Albania. The managing director, Claudio Gubitosi, during his recent visit to Tirana was the recipient of a Honorary Degree, and also defined with Niko Ajazi, producer and organizer of the GFF experiences in Albania, all the activities to be held October 24/27 mainly in the capital.
The program of the 8th edition of the Giffoni Albania was unveiled during the press conference at the Sheraton hotel in Tirana. The jurors, from Italy, Macedonia, Kosovo and Montenegro, will take part in various activities including 6 films selected among the ones screened during the most recent GFF. The films chosen for the review are the Elements+10, Victor and the Secrets of Crocodile Mansion, helmed by Cyrill Boss & Philipp Stennert, the Amnesty International prize winner, Stay, by Lourens Blok. Also screening Cool Kids Don’t Cry, by Dennis Bots, Il Sole Dentro by Paolo Bianchini and Norman, by Jonathan Segal, the recipient of the Crystal Gryphon – Banca della Campania. Other movies to be screened include the Giffoni premiere LOL , helmed by Lisa Azuelos, and starring Demi Moore and Miley Cyrus.
Gubitosi will be back in Tirana from November 2 to November 5, in occasion of the Albania Film Festival, co-produced by Giffoni. During the event scheduled on November 3 – 9 there will be a celebration for the 100 year anniversary of the country’s independence with the participation of Italian actor Remo Girone.
