A debate has been taking place in Albania after international media revealed proposed plans to create massive camps in Albania for non-European refugees and migrants aiming to reach the European Union’s wealthy member states. In an interview for a German television station, Albania’s deputy interior minister said Albania has the capacity to handle refugees, as it had during the Kosovo war, when it hosted 600,000 fellow ethnic Albanians.
