A new 1,000 lek bank note

TIRANA, Nov 10 – The central Bank of Albania reported this week that it will soon release a new 1,000 lek banknote, in a move to improve the quality of the money in circulation.
Officials say the new banknote will have the highest standards, especially regarding currency security.
The damaged banknotes will be gradually withdrawn from the market.
