TIRANA, Dec. 21 – “A sea of music” with the concerts by Spain’s “Bonaval” and “Eight strings on the Mediterranean” held last Monday, Dec. 20 at the Metropol Circus in Tirana was the closing event of the IV Spanish Cultural Autumn in Albania: “Nostrum, the Mediterranean through the five senses”.
With a “A sea of music” by “Bonaval” and “Eight strings on the Mediterranean” the Spanish embassy in Tirana traveled through the music, dances and instruments from the Mediterranean Sea with a repertoire that showed different pieces of its rich cultural influence. “The routes (commercial, pilgrimages and even the Crusades) that crossed the Mare Nostrum among the History made the coexistence of the Muslim, Jewish and Christian cultures which contributed to create an interesting musical panorama at the same time that a vast variety of instruments and sounds.”
“Nostrum: The Mediterranean through the five senses,” was dedicated to the Mediterranean Sea, shared by both Spain and Albania. The embassy considered the event an invitation to enjoy the Mediterranean with the five senses through music, food, exhibitions and the cinema, as well as an opportunity to reflect on the place it takes in the respective cultures.
