Albania accepts 10 million USD loan, out of up to 400 Million USD needed, from OFID for road reconstruction

Albania’s Council of Ministers has approved a 10 million USD loan from the OPEC Fund for International Development for the rehabilitation of Albanian regional and local roads.
The investment is part of a wider national programme to rehabilitate 1,500 km of regional and local roads, financed by the World Bank, Council of Europe Bank, Islamic Development Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and European Commission.
The government is also in talks with other donors and creditors, including the European Investment Bank, Japan Bank for International Development, in efforts to secure up to 400 million USD needed.
