TIRANA, April 30 – Albanian Interior Minister Bujar Nishani and Serbian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic last week signed a readmission agreement between the two countries, a further step in cooperation between the two countries.
Good relations between the two countries have a significant contribution to overall stability in the region, according to a statement of the Serbian Interior Ministry.
The agreement covers cooperation in the fight against crime, particularly in combating illegal trade in narcotics, arms and human trafficking. The proper agreements should also be concluded by the two countries in that line of cooperation.
The document was signed on the sidelines of a Migration, Asylum, and Refugees Regional Initiative (MARRI) forum, composed of Montenegro, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Croatia, held in Durres when Serbia took over the presidency from Albania.
