Albania congratulates Kosovo on deal with Serbia

Albania has congratulated Kosovo on reaching a deal with Serbia that makes it easier for the state of Kosovo to operate over its entire territory. The comments came during a two-day official visit by Albanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Aldo Bumci.
He held his first visit out of Albania in in Kosovo on the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kosovo Enver Hoxha.
Bumci also held special meetings with Prime Minister of Kosovo Hashim Thaci, where he commended on the reaching of an agreement between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia and the European Commission’s proposal to open SAA negotiations with Kosovo.
Minister Bumci stressed that the Albanian government fully supports and welcomes this agreement as it does the Kosovo government for its courage and vision which led the successful negotiations. He noted that the agreement opens great prospects for Kosovo in the field of both internal and international issues. Mr Bumci said that the Albanian government encourages full implementation of the agreement, which is backed by the best guarantees international allies like the EU and U.S.
Prime Minister Tha詠expressed gratitude to Albania for its continued support of the international recognition of Kosovo. He praised the deal would be a good argument for adding additional international recognition of Kosovo.
