TIRANA, April 6 – Albanian Parliament Speaker Ilir Meta held a two-day visit to neighboring Kosovo, aiming at further strengthening bilateral ties and increase lobbying for more international recognitions for the new state.
Meta met with all top officials in Kosovo, in his first visit in the post, talking on how to deepen the bilateral ties and benefits.
“We are here to express our complete will to take further the cooperation between our two parliaments as a necessary contribution in the increase of the important and strategic ties between Albania and Kosovo, not only to strengthen peace and stability in our region but also for the benefit of our citizens,” said Meta.
Meta also urged both Prishtina and Belgrade to continue their dialogue and he urged Serbia to stop supporting illegal structures of the ethnic Serbs operating in Kosovo.
