TIRANA, Oct. 21 – Neighboring Albania and Montenegro are seeking to further strengthen infrastructure links, a topic discussed by Transport and Infrastructure Minister Edmond Haxhinasto Monday in a meeting with his Montenegrin counterpart Ivan Brajovic in the northwestern city of Shkodra.
The two countries have already developed an excellent cooperation in the border management. The crossing points are jointly managed by the two countries’ police forces, cutting the time it takes to manage the passage of goods and the people.
The two ministers discussed improving the road network on both sides of the border and holding joint projects.
Preventing negative consequence from the floods in the area and keeping the shared Shkodra Lake under control was another point of discussion.
