Albania, Russia discuss economic ties

Energy, industry, transport, tourism and fighting money laundering were on the agenda.

MOSCOW, Dec. 4 – The Albanian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Trade and Economic Cooperation held a meeting in Moscow on Dec. 2-3, discussing possible agreements on several key issues, according to the Albanian Economy Ministry.
Economy Deputy Minister Leonard Beqiri led the Albanian delegation.
The parties exchanged information about economic and trade cooperation between the two countries for 2008 and 2009, and discussed future cooperation in priority areas like energy, industry, transport and tourism.
They also said steps would be taken to institutionalize cooperation between counterpart institutions to prevention of money laundering.
