TIRANA, September 5ؔhe Albanian government has approved creation of an agency for research, technology and innovation.
“Its establishment aims at promoting scientific research not only in state universities, but also in the private sector,” Prime Minister Sali Berisha said in a statement.
“We are going to finance innovation in all fields, especially hi-tech, software and programming. Its role is very important. This is an extra effort to encourage science and scientific research, innovation, in order to move faster towards the digital age.”
The move falls under the government’s recent national strategy for scientific research.
