Albanian children awarded in Czech festival

TIRANA, Dec. 11 – Arlind Billa and Nertil Zenuni are the two Albanian children who were awarded in the 42nd International Childrenճ Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice in the Czech Republic.
Czech embassy in Albania organized a ceremony on December 5, 2014 to solemnly hand over in presence of families the honorary diplomas of the exhibition to both laureates. Children of all ages from dozens of countries from around the world participate in the international exhibition Lidice every year. Some 27.868 children from 77 countries took part in this year’s 42nd exhibition was dedicated to family farming and garden.
The International Children’s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice (ICEFA Lidice) was established in 1967 to commemorate the child victims from the Czech village of Lidice murdered by German Nazis, as well as all other children who have died in wars.
Although national initially, this exhibition became an international one in 1973 and since then it has become well known among children and teachers all over the world.
