A major week-long of fashion extravaganza was held in the fashion capitol of the world – New York City. Albanian Fashion Week 2016 in New York was as huge success.
When Mrika Krasniqi of Albanian Fashion Week puts on her annual Fashion Show in New York it is the hottest ticket in town. Europe’s best fashion designers show off their newest creations for the American public and potential buyers.
Former Miss Albania and Miss Kosova were among the high-ranked models showing off the latest designs of Albanian Fashion Week NY on March 27, 2016. Top Models walked the runway in fashions by Vjollca Llapashtica, Valdrin Sahiti, Bora Balaj, Sara Shala, Lexy Spaqi and Tatjana Ljara.
The grand event was hosted by Mrika Krasniqi, founder and CEO of Albanian Fashion Agency and Nil Production. The attendees are labeling it “the best ever” and “biggest night” in fashion for Albanian top designers.
“Albanian Fashion Show was the success of Nil Production and Albanian Fashion Agency. Even though this was its first annual event, the Albanian Fashion Show brought a sold-out crowd. It was pleasant to see the public fall in love with fashion again. The designers were received very well and they presented wonderful creations. Vjollca Llapashtica presented 30 modern dresses, Valdin Sahiti as well presented 30 modern dresses. Bora Balaj showcased 15 traditional Albanian wear and Sara Shala showed off her newest collection of accessories and jewelry,” said Mrika Krasniqi, CEO and founder of Albanian Fashion Agency and Nil Production.
This year’s event was held in Times Square at the biggest and hottest venue in NYC, “Stage 48” . 400 attendees packed the event hosted by Albanian Fashion Agency, and featured the work of Albanian fashion icons.
The VIP Red Carpet Fashion Show featured entertainment from the international pop rock superstar Matteo Brento. X-Factor Albania star Matteo Brento opened the show with his hit single #21 (Goodbye My Love) written by award-winning Michele Bisceglia, arranged by Alessandro Di Lascia and Cristina Bisceglia. Brento wowed the crowd with Italian classics, Albanian hit songs and his new track.
“Thank you to Mrika Krasniqi for having me as the guest of honor at the Albanian Fashion Week in New York. I had so much fun performing for the Albanian and American fans at the Big Apple. This was a dream come true for me and I want to thank everyone for treating me like a star,” said the internationally known Italian singer Matteo Brento.
Following the success of this year’s show Albanian Fashion Week hopes to become a yearly event supporting Albanian and local designers and providing New Yorkers with a glimpse of the latest fashions.
