TIRANA, Jan 28lbania’s Albpetrol oil exploration and output has called a tender for a consultant to help privatise Albpetrol Sh.A through a share sale to a strategic investor.
The deadline for expressions of interest is February 11, 2010, the state’s procurement agency (www.app.gov.al) said in a statement.
In October, the government complained that management of the company was ineffective, hurting operations.
State-owned Albanian State Oil and Gas Production Company held a monopoly until 1993, when foreign companies were authorized to operate in the Balkan country.
