Alleged drug traffickers arrested

FIER, Jan. 30 – Police in the southern city of Fier reported they had arrested two persons who were trying to transport toward capital Tirana some 50 kilograms of cannabis sativa.
Bledar Novi, 31, and Lavdosh Kuca, 38, were caught while coming from Gjirokastra district in the south in two vehicles.
Police say they are continuing investigation on other possible links of the two persons.
In southeastern Korca police arrested Endri Risto, 27, after finding him with two grams of heroin that he was supposed to be trying to sell.
In capital Tirana police arrested Sokol Haxhija, 25, and started investigation on Sation Dika, 27, after finding them with five grams of cannabis sativa.
In another operation they arrested Afrim Maksuti, 24, after finding 579 grams of cannabis sativa at his home.
In southern Gjirokastra police arrested Jorgo Thimjo, 27, who was trying to cross the Kakavie border point with 1.5 kilogram of marijuana. He was going to Crete where he resides and said he had bought the drug with 400 euros in capital Tirana.
In Tirana police arrested Armando Vokshi, 24, after finding him with two grams of heroin he was likely trying to sell.
Orgest Disha, 26, was also arrested when found with four grams of cannabis sativa also in capital Tirana.
