TIRANA, April 1 – Italian media reported Tuesday that drug trafficking of cocaine and heroin from Pakistan to Albania was stopped with the arrests of nine persons, most of them from Pakistan.
Police also found different amounts of drugs (105 grams of heroin and 250 grams of cocaine) and more than 11,500 Euros.
The police operation was named ‘Sea and Mountain’ and was begun in September, 2006 after a series of reports from citizens. Those arrested were mainly low-level smugglers. (Tirana Times Staff)
