TIRANA, July 25 -Two persons were shot dead in a conflict between two families for a spot of land in the Golem seaside Wednesday. A family clash referred to weapons that killed two members of a family and also the guard of the resort claimed by both families.
Seven Albanian tourists were escaped when rough seas at the beginning of the week took their boat far away at the Karaburun peninsula. A nine-year old child died after being hit by one of the beach umbrellas in the head. Many car accidents occur daily along the roads taking tourists to the seaside. These are some of the daily news linked to tourism, or tourist areas in western Albania or close to that. Tourism is on its peak with good weather for tourists (though not that good generally as they have been high up to 38-40 degrees centigrade.) Tens of thousands of Albanian immigrants arrive every day from neighboring Greece or nearby Italy and many more, mainly Kosovars come to Albania for vacations.
But tourist agencies report, always off-the-record, that the number of tourists in and out of the country has a significant fall this summer, due to the global economic crisis.
