Bank card fraud uncovered

TIRANA, June 22 – Police reported the arrest of three persons, including one female police officer. The individuals are accused of stealing thousands of Euros with false bank cards.
The ‘Skimmer 3’ codenamed police operation arrested Maliq Qemal Kaca, 29, an immigrnat in Britain, Bedri Fidan Muda, 36, resident of Tirana, and Rajmonda Qemal Muda (Kaca), 27, working at the Tirana police department.
Following a five-month investigation police said that the accused had been using fake bank cards which allegedly belonged to British or US citizens. They stole up to 30,000 Euros from bank ATMs.
Police found some 30 fake bank cards with the suspects.
