Bulgarian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce launched

TIRANA, May 13 – Albanian and Bulgaria have strengthen their economic cooperation by launching the Bulgarian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Chamber was launched during a visit Bulgarian Foreign Minister Nikolay Mladenov paid to Tirana. The Chamber is a non-for-profit organization that aims at the development and improvement of trade and industrial relations between Bulgaria and Albania, as well as strengthen the economic and trade cooperation.
It is expected to play an important part in shaping the relations between the two countries, not only in economic but also in social and cultural terms, said a statement by the Chamber.
The Chamber’s mission is to provide leadership that will help create regional economic prosperity and success for its members. Through its network of businesses, the Chamber will identify the concerns of its member and plan united action.
The Chamber’s officials say they will involve in a number of initiatives to promote enterprise development and business advisory services, becoming an important source of business intelligence and cooperation.
The currently appointed Chairman of the Bulgarian-Albanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry is Trayan Haladjov.
The Chamber’s opening was made possible with the support of Fibank, the biggest Bulgarian business in Albania.
Trade exchanges with Bulgaria remain at modest levels.
