TIRANA, April 25 – There are very few women running for the May 8 local election posts, about 30, though the law passed by all the parties at the parliament requires at least one-third of the numbers.
A coalition of non-governmental organizations supported by the National Democratic Institute For International Affairs (NDI) held a round table to discuss on the issue.
They tried to urge better cooperation among the women candidates despite their political affiliations.
Western ambassadors always call for more women participation.
