BoA remains ready to act depending on economic trends, inflationary risks and financial stability.

TIRANA, Nov. 25 – Albania’s central bank has kept its key interest rate unchanged, according to a statement by Bank of Albania.
It said that after considering macroeconomic indicators, the Bank of Albania Supervisory Council has decided not to change its basic interest rate for now, although the central bank is giving close attention to developments in the country’s economy and might act to change the rate in the future.
“The Supervisory Council agreed to keep the base interest rate unchanged. This decision is aimed at maintaining and further consolidating macroeconomic balances, considering the macroeconomic stability as a necessary prerequisite for long-term economic growth,” said BoA Governor Adrian Fullani.
He added that in the future, BoA remains ready to act depending on economic trends, inflationary risks and financial stability.
