TIRANA, Jan. 19 – Health authorities in the country are concerned that flu cases are increasing, together with cases of the swine flu.
The number of the swine flu cases had increased to 37 until Tuesday. they are all out of risk for life.
Unlike the previous year patients have not shown serious complications such as pneumonia.
They are part of more than 10,000 cases of seasonal flue registered every week, still a lower number compared to last year.
The main hospital in capital Tirana is fully prepared to take care of these patients, especially those with swine flu. They said they have all the necessary tamiflu medicine if needed. Health authorities all around the country are advised to immediately report any swine flu case.
Albania’s medical system serves non-stop based on the health centers and hospitals all around the country.
Health authorities said the country has not yet entered the state of epidemic but fear and warn that there will be a greater number of cases during February.
