DURRES, Aug. 11 – Eight ships confiscated by police were removed from the eastern end of the main Albanian port giving more space for increased work.

Five of them were confiscated by Durres and Lushnje police after their owners were involved in penal cases or they were involved in other crimes. Three other ships belonged to owners but were not allowed to go to the sea due to technical problems.

The confiscated ships covered some 600 meters out of 2.2 kilometers of space in the port.

They were moved to Raguza Bay.
