E-registration of enterprises set in motion

TIRANA, March 10؁n inter-ministerial working group in Albania is to draft an action plan on developing electronic registration for businesses.
The government launched a one-stop-shop for registrations at the end of 2007 and a center for issuing licenses and permits in June 2009 that transferred authority from ministries for the procedures.
Concrete tasks were set on the National Business Registration Center and the National Agency for Information Society which under coordination of Minister of State for Reforms are set to define an action plan within a short period of time for passage into the business registration online.
“The business registration service, despite its success and drastic shortening of the time required for registration, will be modernized and transferred online,” Prime Minister Sali Berisha said in a statement.
Attending the meeting were the Minister of State for Reforms Genc Pollo and the top leaders of National Business Registration Center and National Authority for Electronic Certification.
