EFSE To Invest 200 Mln Euro in SEE in 2009

BELGRADE, May 26–The European Fund for Southeast Europe (EFSE) will invest 200 million EUR ($280 million) in the region this year to finance micro and small-sized enterprises, Serbian media reported on Tuesday.
EFSE collects its funds from private and public sector investors as international financial institutions, and then extends them through banks and microfinance institutions to micro and small-sized businesses and households.
EFSE is active in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Bulgaria, Macedonia, Moldova and Romania.
