TIRANA, Feb. 6 – Officials of the European Union and the Albanian government met for two days Thursday-Friday to discuss a series of issues in the context of the Stabilization and Association Agreement work which the tiny Balkan country signed last June. The talks concentrated in Albania’s obligations on transport, energy, environment and regional development. Albanian authorities explained what has already been done and what they expect to complete in the future. Albania has also signed the European Agreement of Civil Aviation which has set some obligation to be completed by the country. “The European Union is convinced the application of these agreements will bring important profit to Albania,” according to a statement. An efficient management of the energy sector would be vital for the country’s future of economy and its citizen’s life.
