TIRANA, June 14 – The European Integration Ministry has started a Germany and EU-funded project named “Support to Albanian Ministry of European Integration – SMEI II.”
Together with the Ministry of Education and Science they will hold a tour through Albania with a traveling bus stopping in ten of the biggest cities and schools in the country.
Students there will test their knowledge on the EU in a quiz which will end with some prizes.
“Europe – part of our life” is the motto of this tour, which started last week.
Albania has applied for candidate status from the European Union. This application was denied last year and will likely receive the same response this year as well– due to the ongoing political deadlock in the country. Managing politics and democracy are one of the main fundamental principles that must be fulfilled according to EU standards.
