TIRANA, April 8 – An exhibition featuring Roma people in Albania, one of the most vulnerable and marginalized communities in the country, has opened at the EU Info Centre in Tirana to mark the International Roma Day.

The exhibition comprises some 45 photographs of the Roma Egyptian communities in Albania, with each one portraying a success story from a UNDP and EU Delegation three-year project supporting their social inclusion and collectively showcasing the main results achieved by the project.

The opening was attended by various representatives of project target groups, who gave speeches about how they had personally benefited from the project. Several representatives of institutions and Roma organisations in Albania also attended the event which will remain open at the EUIC until 11 April 2014.
