TIRANA/LAC, May 25 – A husband kills his wife and another wife kills her mother-in-law and tries to do the same to with her husband in a wave of family crimes in Albania.
Koco Shyti, 57, shot and murdered his wife Arjana Shyti, 49 and later did the same with himself downtown capital Tirana. Police late also found a bag with explosives.
It is believed the reason was a quarrel between the two, who were on the brink of divorce. They were not living together in the last two years.
In another crime in the northern town of Lac, Sanije Tuka, 47, shot and killed her mother-in-law, Behare Tuka, 80. She also shot her husband Baftjar Tuka, 52, and injured him.
She was arrested from police at the house.
