TIRANA, May 8, – the foreign investors association in albania (FIAA) announced on Tuesday, during e reception with its members at Rogner Europapark Hotel, its New Board of Directors and President. The new Board of FIAA will be chaired by one President, Thomas Papaspyrou, the General Manager of Vodafone Albania, two Vice Presidents, respectively Steven Grunerud, Raiffeisen CEO and Patrick Pascal, G.M of Selenice Bitumen, as well the Treasurer Georg Bailer and three more sustaining Board Members representing Coca Cola, Rogner and Boga & Associates.
The New Board of FIAA reassured the members about their commitment in representing FIAA during their mandate, which began in the General Assembly Meeting on March 20th, 2007. The Board highlighted that their main focus will be to strengthen further more this prestigious Association in Albania, which in June 2007 will celebrate its 7th birthday.
The clear mission FIAA has, will lead the board towards to contributing together for a better climate for foreign and local investments, to be active in open dialogues among all the market players.

The association has 60 active members that make the foundation of foreign investments in Albania. The total of foreign investments of FIAA’s members in Albania is around 700 million dollars. FIAA plays an important role regarding the new laws related to foreign investments, and is the voice representing the foreign investors in Albania, consulting with the government and international institutions such as WB and IMF. FIAA’s activity is also related to providing the necessary information for all those foreign investors who want to allocate their investments in Albania.
