FIFA checking for political interference in Albania’s soccer

ZURICH, Jan, 31 – After a meeting of its associations committee Wednesday, FIFA said it was still reviewing interference of the government into the Albanian soccer federation works. FIFA warned Poland and Kenya that they face serious sanctions unless their governments stop interfering with the running of the national soccer federation. The committee said it reviewed government interference cases concerning Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iran, Macedonia, Peru, Senegal, Togo, Turkey and Tunisia, and was satisfied with their progress.
