Finance Ministry cracks down on game shops

TIRANA, Jan 25 – The Finance Ministry has begun closing shops and other locations offering gambling games that are not licensed and not paying taxes.
During the past seven months officials have monitored illegal gambling. They said there were 1,500 locations with such games and at least 400 of them were operating illegally.
They also said that only 22 businesses were registered to serve as casinos.
